Mrs. Saucier passed away May 01, 2013, in Alexandria, LA. Ann Marie Bringol Saucier was born December 8, 1918, in Egg Bend, Louisiana, the daughter of John Baptiste Bringol, and Julie Gaspard. She was united in marriage to Anthony Leo Saucier on September 24, 1939, at Fifth Ward, Louisiana.

A consummate mother and homemaker, Ann was an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. Ann had an insatiable love of plants and flowers. Ann received her license to practice as a professional florist. She practiced for a short time only to return to her first love, her family. Once again at home, Ann's passion for plants continued and at one point she accumulated over 125 show quality African Violets of various sizes, shapes, and species. Ann was a voracious reader and had subscriptions to over 25 magazines.

Ann had an unwavering faith in God. She was a member of St. Rita Catholic Church, the Altar Society, and Catholic Daughters.

Ann was predeceased by her husband of 67 years, Anthony Leo Saucier on December 19, 2006. Ann is survived by her daughter Julia Foster and her husband James (Jimmy) of Alexandria, LA, daughter Lynda Smith and husband William (Bill) of Denham Springs, LA , along with son Carl Saucier and wife Patti of Plano, TX. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Markus Smith, David Foster, Annette Foster Maule, Erin Saucier Williams, and Kathryn Saucier. She is predeceased by her grandson Robert Foster. Additionally, she had five great grandchildren, and one great great grandchild.

The family wants to recognize and express deepest gratitude to all of Ann's caregivers but especially to her daughter Julia for providing an unprecedented level of care for the last seven years of her life. Julia, along with the assistance and support of her husband Jimmy, was instrumental in fulfilling Ann's day with care, comfort, and love.

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating her life will be held on Saturday May 04, 2013 at St. Rita Catholic Church at 10 AM, with Rev. Craig Scott officiating. Interment will follow in Alexandria Memorial Gardens under the direction of John Kramer & Son Funeral Home

The family will receive friends on Friday May 03, 2013, from 4 – 8 PM with a rosary at 5:30 PM and again on Saturday from 8:30 – 9:30 AM at the funeral home.
