A Mass of Christian Burial for Gladys Roy Guillory will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 22, 2013, in Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, with Rev. Dan O'Connor officiating. Interment will be in Forest Lawn Memorial Park under the direction of John Kramer & Son.
Friends are asked to call from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Tuesday and again from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Gladys Roy Guillory, age 98, passed away May 18, 2013, in Lexington House.
She was preceded in death by her husband of forty-eight years, Mayo P. Guillory; her parents, Robert Roy, Sr. and Blanche Roy; one brother, Robert Roy, Jr. and a grandson, Ronald D. Keller.
Mrs. Gladys was a longtime member of Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church and volunteered at Cabrini Hospital for more than twenty years. She was a gifted Seamstress and enjoyed sharing her special talent with family and friends.
Those left to cherish her memory include: three sons, Jack Paul Guillory (Gloria) of McKinney, Texas; Ted Anthony Guillory (Linda) of Jasper, Texas and Richard Robert Guillory (Pat) of Jacksonville, Florida; one daughter, Lynne Marie Behler (Ray) of Alexandria; nine grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; four great great grandchildren; one niece, Clay Anderson (Stillman) of Lake Charles and one nephew, Jerry Roy of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.
