A Celebration of life for Joseph Michael D'Angelo. M.D. will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, in the chapel of John Kramer & Son, with Deacon William Travis officiating. Interment will be in Greenwood Memorial Park, Pineville.
Friends are asked to call from 1 p.m. Wednesday until the time of the service at John Kramer & Son.
Joseph Michael D'Angelo, age 70, passed away May 26, 2013 in his residence.
Some of Joseph Michael's favorite passions were his family, friends, and fishing. He was very generous person and provided shelter to many in need during his life.
Joseph Michael was a Veteran of the United States Navy. He worked in Alexandria as a Medical Doctor in the Emergency Room. Later he moved to California and opened a Sports Medicine and Therapy Clinic. After his practice he moved back home to Alexandria to be with his family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Judge Angelo D'Angelo and Thelma D'Angelo; his paternal grandparents, Joseph and Mamie D'Angelo; aunts and uncles Peggy Hazelwood; Mr. and Mrs. William Boudra; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Boudra; cousins, Carol and Dianne Boudra.
Those left to cherish his memory include: his aunt, Agnes S. D'Angelo of Alexandria, LA; cousins, Roscoe L. Douglas and his wife, Bobbie of Meridian, MS; Stephen D'Angelo and his wife, Judy of Pass Christian , MS; Theresa Bradford and her husband, Michael of Zurich Switzerland; Anthony D'Angelo, Jr. of Baton Rouge, LA; Patricia D'Angelo Krig and her husband, Nathan of Alexandria, LA; John D'Angelo of Pineville, LA; Michael D'Angelo and his wife, Dawn of Houma, LA; Rod Hazelwood; Becky Edwards and Marlene McBride all of Fort Worth, TX; numerous nieces and nephews.
The family wishes a heartfelt thanks to his cousin and friend, Roscoe L. Douglas, M.D. for his kind and loving care throughout the years and to Kenny Whitaker his longtime friend for being there for our loved one.
