Patricia (Trish) Francis Sabala died Friday, March 15, 2013 in Vilseck, Germany.

Trish was born February 27, 1965 in Alexandria, Louisiana to her parents, John and Murray Jean Francis. She attended schools in Hammond, Buras, and Alexandria, graduating from Menard High School. She also attended college at Southeastern Louisiana University and Northwestern State University.

Trish was a loving mother, wife, grandmother to her family; a fierce and loyal friend to all who knew her and a devout Catholic Christian. She possessed an angelic voice and used that ministry in the catholic communities she lived as music director and cantor. She was a talented artist, singing and acting in productions at the Little Theatre, Menard High School and the Army Community Theatre system. After her marriage to an army officer she travelled to numerous duty stations in America and Germany. Trish remained active as a leader in Army's Family Readiness Groups. She made a monumental difference to so many families that suffered through separation of countless deployments, combat tours and loss of soldiers or family members. Trish always put others first before herself. For her endless work as an Army volunteer she received the Commander's Medal for Public Service and was inducted into the Order of Saint Joan of Arc Society for her service to others.

Trish is survived by her husband Major (Ret) John William Sabala and two daughters: Kristina Nicole Juneau, with husband Brad Juneau and Amanda Michelle Sabala. She is also survived by two grandchildren: Abigail Rose Juneau and Noland Joseph Juneau. Other family members include her parents, her sister Judith Ann Cooley, with husband Leonard Spencer Cooley and son Leonard Spenser Cooley III (Trey). Other family members include her Uncle Theodore and Aunt Rose Marie Francis, and Aunt Mary Ann and Jay Becnel.

She was predeceased by a sister Catherine Angela Francis, and Grandparents Louise and Theodore Francis, and Ruby and Emerson Wannamaker.

Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013, with a Rosary held at 11 a.m. at John Kramer & Son.
